well, well, just finish 1 chapter from 1 book that i' ve been reading this few weeks. at the end of that chapter, comes out the question "my passion is ______ , so where should i be serving? In a ministry committed to ________ ." again and again, it's about 'your passion'. um, sadly, i still don't know what's the answer for that question. my brain can't stop thinking 'what is it?what is it?'.
In that chapter, we are given 7 questions to answer, those questions are to ease us to know what is our passion. But not even 1 question that i can answer it straight away, instead, i did not know the answer. well, this week of my life would be 'passion week'.
hey you reader, what's your passion? do you know what do you like the most and make you happy?
it is said in the book that 'your passion will energize you. not only you will become more alive emotionally (well, i don't feel alive recently, is this why?), but the activity or thoughts about your passion will actually give you energy.' WOW! i wanna know what is my passion NOW!
Another thing that bother me is about one of the factors that might be the reason that we can not get a handle on our passion. It is 'pleaser personality'. Let me type it out for you:
It seems that those who have a strong orientation towards pleasing others have a more difficult time identifying their own passion. Whether one's motivation for pleasing is intentional or a result of some subconscious emotions , the result is the same. For people like this, it feels illegal or selfish to say "I want to ... "
auuuwww, it hit me. -i don't know what to say bout this-
well, i hope that one day ms.Passion will come and knock my door and together we'll make a better world! (which i believe i will)
by the way, at the end of that chapter, it is ended with lil prayer, which i like:
(again, let me type it out for you :) hope it will bless you too )
Thank you for placing Your desire in my heart.
Sometimes I have trouble focusing on the things that matter most to me.
Sometimes I am confused by the people around me, and I mistake their passion for mine.
Sometimes I long to fulfill my passion, but I don't know where you want me to do it.
Please be close to me now.
Help me to stop and be quiet.
Help me to listen to my own heart.
Help me to listen to your still small voice, and to obey.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
